·   November 16, Canyon Chamber Holiday Style Show…see Cheryl Malcolm for tickets…they are going fast though Cheryl only has about 50 tickets left.

·   Board Meeting at El Patio November 8, 2007.

·   Bob Langhorn District Governor…he came to thank all the Lions in our club for their participation and give us some information regarding our success.

·   1562 children went to Lions Camp last summer making a total of over 50,000 children who have gone to Lions Camp.

·   Sight First 2 is 122 million in to raising their goal of 150 million

·   88 million will go for the bill that prevents River Blindness.

·   The club in Kress is doing well…they have strong leadership.

·   Our club here in Canyon is a 100% club.

·   District Convention in Amarillo May 15, 16 & 17. Ambassador Hotel will be the convention hotel, Breakfast will be at the Ambassador…the Lunch and Dinner meals will be at the Convention Center. There will be a steak dinner prepared by The Big Texan in Palo Duro Canyon and afterwards the group will be given a preview of the show “Texas”…not all of the show will be available but previews will be shown. The Canyon noon lions club will have a huge part in this Thursday night event. It is the kick off event for the convention and well set the tone for the rest of the weekend.

·   Mary Ellen Brandt for making Halloween comment about Queen George’s outfit.

·   Andy Hix for remarking there should be an age limit on the Queens.

·   Dan Shuman for wondering if the Queens age limit should be measured in years or decades.

·   Dale Davis for calling Queen George “spare – rib”.

·   Andy Hix for miss-pronouncing her name last week.

·   Ronnie Hagar is a fussy landlord…putting up a “no smoking” “no soliciting” sign outside George’s office…so George wondered if she should find something to smoke or someone to solicit..ponderous.

·   Debbie Aylesworth for running a stop sign and not giving Queen George the right of way…HOW CAN YOU MISS THAT BIG YELLOW TRUCK!

·   Bob Lindsey for the Cruella DeVille remark about Queen George

·   Bob Lindsey has to bow to Queen George

·   Ronnie Hagar made the remark that the “cute table” did not get a fine because they were in the same “age group” as the Queen.

·   Bill Craddock for having no small “balls” in the gym…only one Huge Blue Ball…that will take some thinking.

·   Andy Carter is a Dictator and Not a President

·   Freddie Davis for throwing things at Queen George

·   Patrick for soliciting on the street corner before club…THERE MUST BE A SOLICITING THEME going on in Canyon…DALE DAVIS are you aware of this SOLICITING problem inside the city limits?

·   Dan Shuman and Patty talking during the program…RUDE! AND Bob Lindsey for telling on them.

·   Dale Davis for trying to talk to Eloisa during the program…but he was hiding down behind Eloisa’s back…however the observant Queen George could tell Dale was talking because Eloisa was nodding at his comments…pretending to be a good listener…

·   Moto the Methodist minister for his phone going off during club.

·   Freddie Davis has been married to Paula for 100 days!!

·   Linda Elliott missed club last week and George made her feel good today.

·   James Anderson’s 7-½ month old granddaughter finally cut her first tooth and bit her mother.

·   Tana Miller’s 12 year old daughter plays on a soccer team and last week the all girl team played an all boy team and won 11-0, the girls team was one player short and the boys team and a full slate of players and one sub…. can’t beat that for “women” power.
