LIONS CLUB WEEK OF 12-20-06

David Lindsey
Don Max Vars introduced our speaker Cadet David Lindsey who is home for Christmas. Cadet Lindsey gave us quite a bit of knowledge regarding life as a Cadet…several stages actually….from Plebe, to Yuck to Cow and I am not sure he mentioned what the Sr.’s were called but I am sure it is something equally as interesting. It cost $27,000 per day to feed the 4400 Cadets at West Point. Cadet Lindsey was 2nd in his class at West Point in Mathematics. He holds the Army Achievement Medal and Army Commendation medals from West Point. You have to be between the ages if 18-23 to be eligible for West Point but that being said you can not just enroll at West Point you must be recommended by either the Vice President, your commanding officer or a Congressman…Cadet Lindsey was nominated by his Commanding officer and Congressman Mac Thornberry. He is on the Sophomore’s Deans List and is majoring in Human Geography.
