·   Baker family in need of funds due to extraordinary medical expenses involved with Elon’s trip to Houston. The Baker’s are a part of our family of lions and if you feel led to donate George will be passing around a bucket for contributions. The Board generously donated $750.00 so we will put the donations we collect together and then get it to the Baker Family.

·   Enrollment in the fall was 7,508, the best enrollment since 1970.

·   50% of incoming freshman are 1^st generation freshman, meaning that neither parent graduated from college

·   24% is a minority student

·   17% are Hispanic.

·   WTAMU is the 2^nd highest academic college in the State 2^nd only behind College Station.

·   WTAMU boasts an 89.5% pass rate.

·   Among our many accomplishments at WTAMU we have award winning teams:

o Speech team

o National Broadcasting

o Horse Judging

o Symphony has been invited to State Competition

o Rodeo National Champions in 2006.

·   Other accomplishments…

o By fall 2009 WTAMU will become a Steinway University, that means that students in the fine arts program will have only the finest piano’s made on which to perform and practice.

o Pedestrian Mall

o New Residence hall with 176 bed.

o Plans to add another 1000 beds in the next few years.

·   Danny Smith because the Queens Mother does not know the pledge to the Texas Flag.

·   Mandy Williams, Ronnie Hagar, Andy Carter, Bob Lindsey, Lila Vars because the Queen tried to call them this week and they did not answer their phone…I don’t know who did answer their phone for the Queen but it wasn’t any of the above people.

·   Freddie Davis has really long socks and hairy legs.

·   Paula Davis for dancing the boogie.

·   Anyone who has a paying job with a church….RANDOM

·   AnnaBeth Baker because she is way too quiet.

·   Eloisa & Bill Craddock for reasons she can not mention.

·   Deanna Porter’s daughter Kelsey is in the hospital as we speak having her baby…

o On that note Kelsea did have her baby at 1:55 PM….a girl 6 pounds 15 oz, 19 inches long, name Lorelei Rene, beautiful child, long fingers, cute toes and a huge head of hair.
