Hank Holt is a Toastmaster and brought his entire club to demonstrate for us the eloquent skills of public speaking.  We had a timer-Dan Hall, a word master-Jim Barrick, A prepared speech-Andrea Porter, a Table Topic Master-Bob Chapman….Table topics were a big hit…Bob Lindsey has bulls and cows that remind him of specific Lions in our club.  Lila Vars is the matriarch cow…have no idea what that means.  Dan Shuman spoke on stocks and our future and not pork bellies…but all is well on table topics you do not have to speak on the topic assigned to you…and for all of Dan’s efforts he was fined for advertising.  Jim Barrick had the word of the day “enigma”…look it up you will learn something.  Andrea Porter gave a prepared speech on Peyton Manning #18 from the Colts I believe….she is a die hard fan and convinced us in her “persuasive speech” that we should all love Peyton Manning…
Bill Townsend has a very embarrassing story about eating at the Pyramid Room in Dallas…something about a musician and a bathroom and not exactly in that order.

• Linda Elliott…Marshall her grandson competed in the Tractor Mechanic’s competition at WTAMU and won…he will now go to State Competition.
• Linda Elliott…Marshall and the Happy Basketball team won Region Quarter-finals.
• Linda Elliott…Lady Buff’s won last night…they are now in the conference tournament play-off.
• Linda Elliott…Men Buff’s with 7 injured players won last night at the buzzer…one player was playing with a broken hand.  All of the Men Buffaloes stepped up to the plat and played with “True Grit”.
• Freddie Davis…Paula Pierson had an article Published in the Amarillo Globe News.
• George…daughter Samantha was in competition for the journalism team and won 2nd place.
• Bill Braudt…”It’s drawing time”.
