Announcements

• Board Meeting next Thursday, September 6, 2007 12:00 noon at the El Patio Restaurant.
• The City of Kress is starting a Lions club and they have their first meeting on September 10, 2007 at 7:00 PM….no location was mentioned…but Lion Andy Carter will have details.
• Paul Sweetgaul needs golf cart drivers for Friday night 6:00 PM and he got them…Fern & Don Hefner and Sherman Jones volunteered.

Krista Gerlich came to talk about the Women’s Athletic Walk on 10.27.07…the basketball and volleyball are fully funded scholarship wise…however Cross Country, Golf, Soccer are not fully funded…we want to be able to compete for good students on a National Level and we have to be able to offer scholarships for all the women’s athletics in order to be able to do that…so if you want to be on a team talk to Paula Davis, Georgeanna Sader or Cheryl Malcolm.

Queens Fine Time

• Bob Lindsey saw the Queen at United Supermarket eating a huge plate of chicken, fried okra, and mash potatoes and made a remark that if Queen Regan kept eating like that she would not be able to fit into her Queen’s Sash.
• Bob “ATM” Lindsey for whining about loosing at his golf game.
• Harley Baker for accusing Queen Regan of stealing Pancake Breakfast signs…Queen Regan in her defense was only trying to advertise the Pancake Breakfast…this is why the sign is in her yard.
• George’s dress looks like a huge bandana…George says it is the “Western” look…you should see her horse.
• Shawn Thomas  for being so happy he did not have to sit by Queen Regan.
• Bill Townsend and Kevin Appel for dressing like Twinkies…Bill Townsend VOLUNTEERED to pay  both fines…red letter day!!!
• Jack Hazelwood for sleeping through the program again.
• Danny Smith for spreading rumors about Queen Regan’s first day at CHS as a senior.   Danny has “Old Timers” and can not remember what he said last week about the Queen…but was told if he could remember what the rumor was he would not have to pay his paper fine…which turned out to be only 45 cents anyway because Queen Regan would not loan him a dollar.
